Dr. Serkalem is a graduate of Addis Ababa University with a BA degree in Management and holds MBA in Marketing from Indira Gandhi National University of India. He persuades his Doctoral Studies from the prestigious BAKKE Graduates University of the USA In Transformational Leadership. In his spare time, Dr. Serkalem is an Assistant Professor of graduate studies at various colleges, universities and institutions in Ethiopia.

Dr. Serkalem has worked for an Italian company - Agip Ethiopia from 1993 to 2001 and the Dutch- Shell Ethiopia Limited as Retail and Consumer Manager and has also served Equatorial Business Group as a Sales & Marketing Manager.

Dr. Serkalem G. Kirstos was the Commercial Manager of National Oil Ethiopia-NOC since establishment in 2004 to 2009 and served the company until it reached a market leader position in the Ethiopian oil and petroleum industry. He was the CEO of Dalol Oil SC. and exhibits resourcefulness and dynamism and plays big part in a firm’s ability to improve a year-over-year revenue through a robust market development. He contributed in introducing alternative sources of energy like Petroleum Coke in Ethiopia.
